Heart Cake

2 cups flour
1¾ cup granulated sugar
½ cup cocoa
½ tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. baking soda
2/3 cup oil
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup strong coffee

Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, salt, and baking soda. Add oil, buttermilk, and coffee. Beat for 3 minutes on medium-high speed. Pour in 9 X 13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Frosting:
1 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

In sauce pan, bring sugar, margarine, and milk to a boil, reduce heat and boil one minute. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips until melted. Spread on cooled cake.
