Grumbera Schnitzet Nipfla

4 potatoes peeled and cubed
2 cups flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 egg beaten
½ cup water
1 large yellow onion diced
2 Tbsp. butter

Bring a half kettle of water to a boil with a half tablespoons of salt added.
Peel potatoes and cut in cubes. Add to boiling water.
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in mixing bowl.
Mix the egg with the water. Combine with flour mixture.
Drop small spoonfuls of dough into the water with the potatoes.
Cook for about a half hour. Mixture will be thick and creamy when done.
When nearly done, saute onions in butter.
Transfer Grumbera to serving bowl.
Salt and pepper to taste, then pour onions over the top to serve.
