2 pounds round steak, cubed
¼ cup flour
½ cup chopped onion
6 Tbsp. butter
1½ tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
½ cup water
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 ounce can mushrooms undrained
1 cup dairy sour cream
Dredge steak in flour. Brown with onion in butter.
Add seasonings and water.
Cover and simmer gently until almost tender, 45 minutes to an hour.
Add soup and mushrooms; stir to mix.
Cook gently until beef is tender, about 30 minutes.
At serving time, heat mixture until piping hot.
Turn off and add sour cream. Serve over noodles.
