Carrot Casserole

12 medium carrots, sliced and cooked 5 minutes
1 small onion
¼ cup flour
¼ tsp. pepper
¼ tsp. celery salt
8 oz. American cheese, shredded or sliced
¼ cup butter
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. dry mustard
2 cups milk
Buttered bread crumbs

Sauté onion in the butter. Add flour and seasonings and stir. Add milk and cook until thick and smooth.
In a greased casserole, put a layer of carrots, layer of sauce, a layer of cheese. Repeat layers.
Sprinkle bread crumbs on top and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
