1 tsp. salt
1 medium cabbage, chopped
3 ribs celery, chopped
½ green pepper, chopped
4 green onions, chopped with tops
1 cup white vinegar
1½ cups sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
Sprinkle salt over chopped cabbage and let stand 1 hour. Squeeze out all liquid and mix cabbage with celery, green pepper, and green onions. Place remaining ingredients in saucepan and boil for 1 minute.
Cool and pour over cabbage mixture. Stir, then put into container and freeze.
Before serving, let stand several minutes at room temperature; amount of time will vary depending upon size of container.
