BLT Salad

1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Kosher salt & freshly ground pepper
1/3 cup olive oil
Pinch of sugar
¼ bunch of chives (handful)
8 strips bacon fried and crumbled, reserve grease
Country style bread, torn in bite-size pieces (4oz)
2 hearts of Romaine lettuce cut in chunks
1 lb. juicy ripe tomatoes sliced in wedges
1 avocado sliced

In 400 degree oven, bake bread pieces tossed in reserved bacon grease. Set aside. Arrange lettuce on serving platter. Drizzle with about half the dressing. Arrange tomatoes, avocado, bacon and croutons. Drizzle with the rest of the dressing.
