Stained Glass Jell-O
4 boxes (3-ounces each) Jell-O in different colors (we used 2 red and 2 blue)
1-14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin (Knox)
-For each flavor, dissolve one box of Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water. Pour into a square container that is about 6-8” square and chill at least 3 hours, or overnight. (Try to use the same size for each color so that the blocks will come out the same.)
-After chilling the flavors, cut them into small blocks.
-Carefully mix the blocks in a 9×13-inch pan.
-In a separate bowl, sprinkle the 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin into ½ cup cold water. After the gelatin blooms (absorbs the water and gets thick), add 1 ½ cups boiling water and dissolve. Add the can of sweetened condensed milk. Stir and let cool. Pour cooled milk mixture over the Jell-o blocks in the 9×13-inch pan. Make sure all the Jell-O blocks are covered. Chill overnight or for at least 3 hours until firm.
-Cut into blocks or fun shapes and serve.
**Great for different holidays or occasions; green/red for Christmas, purple/yellow for a Vikings football party, etc.**
