Kraut Salad

1½ cup sugar                                     
1 cup vinegar                                               
1 large can sauerkraut, well drained              
¾ cup celery, chopped
¾ cup onion, chopped
¾ cup mixed red and green peppers, chopped

Boil sugar and vinegar. In a large bowl, combine sauerkraut, celery, onion, and peppers. Add boiled sugar and vinegar. Cover and let slaw stand 12-24 hours in refrigerator. Serves 6-8.
