Bruno’s Cheese Bread

2 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
½ tsp. salt
¼ cup butter
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 Tbsp. onion, grated
1½ tsp. dried dill
¾ cup milk
1 egg, slightly beaten

Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt into large bowl. With a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese, onion, and dill. Mix well.
Combine milk and beaten egg; pour into flour mixture. Stir quickly with a fork, just to moisten other ingredients. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove and serve warm.
