Homemade Granola

4 cups uncooked oats
¾ cup wheat germ
¾ cup Grape Nuts
½ cup sunflower seeds
¾ cup chopped pecans
¾ cup chopped almonds
½ cup dried cranberries
½ cup diced dates
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
¼ cup maple syrup
½ cup vegetable oil
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, combine oats, wheat germ, Grape Nuts, sunflower seeds, pecans, and almonds. Combine brown sugar, salt, maple syrup, vegetable oil, cinnamon, and vanilla in a sauce pan and heat until sugar is melted. Pour over dry ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined.
Spread out mixture evenly onto large baking sheets with sides. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes, stirring half way through. When it’s done, spread out on table to cool. After its cool, add cranberries and dates.
Store in an airtight container.
