Recipe Courtesy of Cindy Schumacher

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. snipped chives
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. sugar
½ tsp. salt
¾ cup buttermilk
¼ cup vegetable oil

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, chives, parsley, baking powder, sugar and salt. Stir in buttermilk and oil all at once just until blended. Knead lightly about 10 times. Roll out dough onto a lightly floured surface to about 3/4 ” thickness. Cut with floured 2” cutter in a straight down motion, not twisting.

Brush bottom of baking pan with melted butter, reserving some for tops of biscuits.

Place about 2” apart in pan. Brush tops with remaining butter. Bake in 425 degree preheated (important) oven for about 15 minutes or until golden. Let cool about 5 minutes before serving. Makes about 8.
