1/06/2014 Potato Sausage
Recipe Courtesy of George Mohr1 ½ lbs. Heier’s Bulk Sausage mix
1 ½ lbs. potatoes
½ cup onion
¼ cup green pepper
1 cup cabbage
7 drops of tobasco sauce
Coarsely grind or finely chop raw potatoes, green peppers, cabbage and onion.
Mix together all ingredients with sausage and salt and pepper to taste.
Place on heavy duty aluminum foil.
Shape into a roll to fit into a bun.
Cover with cabbage leaves and add salt and pepper to the cabbage leaves.
Close foil tightly and place on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 1 ½ hours at 350 degrees. Bake for 1 hour with the foil closed and
the last ½ hour open the foil to help brown the top.
*Can also be pan fried as patties.*
