Knock You Out Bars

Bars:
2¼ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter softened
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Carmel Sauce:
5 oz. evaporated milk
1 14 oz. bag caramels
½ cup peanut butter

Preheat oven to 375. Grease 9 X 13 pan.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bow. Set aside.
Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually mix in flour mixture, then stir in chocolate chips.
Spread half of dough in prepared pan and bake 8 – 10 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Melt caramels and evaporated milk in double boiler. Add peanut butter.
Spread over baked base.
Drop spoonfuls of dough on top of mixture.
Bake 15 – 20 minutes until golden brown.
