Best Green Beans

1 pound green beans
2 Tbsp. bacon grease or 2 Tbsp. butter
2 cloves garlic minced
1 large onion chopped
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup chopped red bell pepper
½ – 1 tsp. Kosher salt (substitute table sale ¼ – ½ tsp.)
Ground black pepper to taste

In large skillet, melt bacon grease or butter, then add garlic and onions and cook one minute.
Add beans and cook about one minute.
Add chicken broth, chopped red pepper, salt, and pepper.
Turn heat to low, cover skillet leaving lid cracked to allow steam to escape.
Cook until liquid evaporates, about 20 – 30 minutes.
