How does it work?
With either a STB hard drive or our cloud dvr, you can save hours and hours of your favorite shows to watch whenever you want!
What is the estimate of how much storage DVR recording will take?
½ hr. HD recorded program = 1.3 GB storage used
1 hr. HD recorded program = 2.5 GB storage used
2 hr. HD recorded program = 5 GB storage used
Can I record 2 channels at the same time?*
YES! In fact, all of our TV packages include FREE DVR and recording of up to FIVE streams at one time!
Can I record one channel and watch another channel?*
YES! You can record up to 4 streams while watching another stream.
How will I know if I am almost out of recording space?
All Valley TV Packages include 250GB of DVR Storage. To see how much space you have used, Press <Menu>, then <Recordings>, then <Current>. The status bar at the top of the list shows you how much recording space is still available. The system will also warn you if there is not enough room to record a program.
Does the DVR automatically delete programs when the record space is full?
YES! The oldest gets deleted first but you can lock programs so that they do not get deleted.
How long can I pause LIVE TV?
Approximately 1 hour.
Can I fast forward through commercials?
YES! If you have paused LIVE TV, or are watching a program from your DVR Library, you can skip the commercials until you have caught up with LIVE TV.
Can I record a Pay-Per-View Movie?
No. Unfortunately, studio regulations do not allow Pay-Per-View Movies to be recorded.
Can I record a program on one TV and watch it on another?
YES! DVR service from Valley is called Whole Home DVR. This allows you to record a program on your DVR in the living room and watch it in the bedroom, or kitchen.
